Are You Ready? Speeding Up Your Success With Home Based Business Opportunities

"You're the average of the 5 people you spend the most time with." I was listening to a Jack Canfield call and I've probably heard versions of this fact before, but it finally hit me. Good grief! This is why it's so difficult for people to break out of the "rat race." When a person is focusing on improving their thought life, as is needed for an abundance of success, this is thought should be a guiding factor.

I speak with people that say that they would like the time, money and freedom that a home business would allow, but in the end, their actions show differently. Case in point. People working a 9-5 job are surrounded by people that apparently are happy with that situation or at least willing to tolerate it. If you are one who has a strong desire to build your own business, it will take much discipline because if you don't make a conscious effort to surround yourself with people of a "higher level" of thinking, you will stay where you are based on this premise. When I say "higher level", I mean it in the sense that if you want to grow into a person that makes a six figure income, that's who you want to hang around. Your associations will elevate your status and way of thinking. It can be difficult to break from the group.

Both my husband and I applied this same principle when we had the desire to be married. We socialized with married folks as much as we could. We wanted to model what they were doing so we were ready when our eventual mate came into our lives. It's all about being prepared when the big opportunity comes your way. If a million dollar idea comes along and your circle of influence is thinking more like the $15,000 a year range, how far do you think it will go?

Did you know that - you can surround yourself with uplifting people via phone, mp3 or other media? The people that you allow to be most influential in your life can be the people you aspire to be like or can be your guide and teachers, if you choose. You may have to immerse yourself in personal growth recordings or hire a success coach. But the bottom line is: if you want to improve, you'll have to do whatever it takes. If you are a person that is searching to climb to a higher level in any part of your life, you will have to make a concerted effort. So apply this principle in any area of your life, better health, better relationships, stronger finances.

A high caliber life can be achieved! Surround yourself with people that have blazed a trail and follow their lead.
